Director & Principal Building Surveyor

Jason Daniels is the sole Director of Advance Building Strategies and serves as the company's Principal Building Surveyor. With more than 30 years of experience in the building industry, including over a decade in local government, Jason has developed extensive expertise across residential, commercial, industrial, and complex development projects.

Recognised for his professionalism, integrity, and practical approach, Jason works closely with clients to navigate the often-complex building approval process. His focus is on delivering clear, timely advice while balancing regulatory requirements with practical project outcomes. Through his commitment to excellence, ethical practice, and sound decision-making, Jason has built a trusted reputation among builders, developers, architects, and property owners throughout Victoria.

Advance Building Strategies is not positioned as a high-volume, low-cost permit provider. Instead, the business is deliberately focused on partnering with clients who value professional expertise, understand the importance of compliance, and appreciate the statutory responsibilities entrusted to the Relevant Building Surveyor. This approach enables the team to provide responsive service, considered advice, and high-quality outcomes on every project.

Adrian Ferretto

Building Surveyor (Limited) & Building Inspector

Adrian joined Advance Building Strategies in 2010 and has become an integral member of the team. He is a fully qualified Building Surveyor (Limited) (BS-L 72660) and Building Inspector (IN-L 12609).

With extensive experience in permit administration, plan assessments, and mandatory inspections, Adrian plays a key role in guiding projects from application through to completion. His approachable manner, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service help ensure clients receive practical advice and timely support throughout the building permit process.

Anthony Durrand

Building Surveyor & Building Inspector

Anthony joined Advance Building Strategies in 2015 and is a fully qualified Building Surveyor (BS-U 43190).

Prior to joining the company, Anthony spent five years with Bayside City Council, progressing into senior roles within the Building Department. This local government experience complements more than ten years in the private building sector, where he worked in various site-based and management positions for a leading volume builder across both residential and commercial projects.

Anthony's broad industry experience provides valuable insight into construction methodologies, project delivery, and compliance requirements. His practical knowledge and collaborative approach enable him to work effectively with builders, designers, and property owners to achieve compliant and efficient project outcomes.
